He sat nervously after he had made up the decision to kiss her for the first time. The moment was right. Tire gage in hand, he leaned over and pulled her closer with what seemed natural at the time- with the tire gage. Little did he know that 6 years later, he would be giving this girl a tire gage that read engraved: Chris & Taylor December 27, 2015 on it. The rest was history.
Their wedding took place in Las Cruces at the Farm and Ranch Museum. The day started out overcast and chilly, but thankfully, nearly an hour before the ceremony, the sun’s rays were seen for the first time that day. The flowers in line and every detail just glorious, Taylor had a relaxing morning getting ready with her girlfriends and Chris with his guy friends. Taylor took a few minutes to write her last entry in a leather-bound journal. The first entry was on December 26th, 2013 when they were engaged. Their wedding gifts to each other were perfect and thoughtful.
Taylor looked stunning. Absolutely beautiful. With her mermaid-fitted lace dress and bling in place, she wore a smile that lasted the rest of the day. And Chris, looking sharp in his grey tuxedo, was anxiously awaiting his bride as she walked down the aisle. Previously knowing the relationship Taylor has with her brother, I was sure to capture not only the groom’s expression, but Justin’s, as well. After a precious ceremony, a couple tears and some laughter, the celebration began on the dance floor! Their friends and family from all over the country had a blast celebrating the marriage of their two friends, Chris and Taylor. And hey, we had a blast too!
The Porter wedding was a joy to be a part of, and we’re so thankful we were able to document it for them. Congratulations Taylor and Chris! And a thank you to Chris for his service for our country that we are all blessed to call home.
