Let’s just say you can consider “sparkle” as one of Sammie & Cody’s wedding colors. Bits of sparkle, taupe, white and silver graced the details and dresses. Sammie was incredible to work with as a bride, because she was very excited and organized. She was obviously head over heels in love, which resulted in the excitement, and she had a dream for what their wedding day would look like, which resulted in the organization. For us, this worked out beautifully, because we had so many lovely details to photograph! I can completely relate to Sammie in this area, because details are so precious to me, as well!
Sammie wore the same veil her mom wore on her wedding, which had an extra pop of sparkle added to the top of it by her aunt. This played the role of her “something old”, while her aunt’s diamond bracelet was her “something borrowed”. Until it was time to put a smile on Cody’s face as she walked down the aisle, Sammie joyfully spent it with her closest friends in the most beautiful getting ready room on the Moffitt Oaks property. Mimosas and laughter trumped the concern of a possible storm that was rolling in, and their wedding day played out beautifully–as you can see by Sammie’s backlit hair! The clouds came and went, and by the time every guest was in the reception, the rain let down. Dinner, dancing and great music took center-stage, and the storm didn’t bother, nor could you hear it! Sammie and Cody’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Not only were the details sentimental and beautiful, but the venue they chose offered so many beautiful backdrops. Moffitt Oaks easily became one of our favorite venues to shoot. Their beautiful reception ballroom is where all the dancing, laughing, visiting and toasting took place. One of my favorite moments of their wedding day was actually during their toasts. There wasn’t a dry eye in the ballroom after Daddy gave his toast and love to his daughter and new son-in-law. I always love toasts, because it lets us get to know our clients even better, and it’s a prime time for priceless expressions. You’ll see–we love the expressions caught during these toasts!
All in all, we celebrated alongside Cody and Sammie throughout their beautiful dream wedding day. What a special day in the books for Mr. and Mrs. Blair. Congratulations, you two!
