I’m not sure how it took us until the very end of our session to realize we had ties back in good ol’ Lubbock, Texas. I mean, yes, I shared with them how my mom and I would always go shopping in Lubbock, because it was the closest city to where I grew up, but how could we have missed this tie!? It turns out that one of my best friends from high school was in the marching band with both of them at Texas Tech! And not just in the band with each other but friends. I’m telling you, I have learned over and over how small of a world it is through almost all of my photography clients and friends I’ve met since moving to Dallas. It’s a sweet feeling!
Just like the feeling I get when I’m around these two. It’s sweet! They are just absolutely precious together. Lauren’s sweet demeanor and Matt’s chuckle that makes his smile span ear-to-ear are both what stick out to me from their session. Can we mention Lauren’s stunning eyes too? Because you can’t skip over those! They were both such a joy to work with and fun to get to know as we made our way through a lovely evening at Arbor Hills. 90-degree weather sure did look GOOD on these two! We were thankful for it, and I’m pretty sure neither of them even broke a sweat. That’s impressive!
Rewind a college degree or two–Matt & Lauren met each other their freshman year band camp at Texas Tech, and I’d be willing to bet it didn’t take too many more band practices to realize they had more in common than just their love for band. Just having them in front of my camera for an evening could tell anybody that! 😉
They had this special connection, and they relationship began to grow the remainder of their undergraduate years in Lubbock. Matt and Lauren are planning their Dallas wedding while residing in their new city of Austin, TX. Wedding bells will come soon enough, and I’m so excited for them!
