Relaxed, beautiful and smooth. These are three words that come to mind when I think about Keim and Christy’s wedding day. I arrived to the hotel to photograph Christy and her girl’s getting ready to find them so relaxed and joyful. I was pleased to discover throughout the rest of their day that this would be the theme. I can say that their wedding was the very first to actually go ahead of schedule. Yes, that’s right! Amazing, right!?
Both she and Keim were so easy to work with and just downright excited. I’m fairly sure that the confidence they had in each other overflowed into the preparedness and joy of their wedding day.
The weather was a lovely 80-degrees, clear skies and just begging for a couple to marry before the Organ Mountains in Las Cruces. They chose a beautiful venue, St. Claire Winery, that created such a memorable, scenic view for the couple to marry.
Just moments before Keim watched Christy walk down with her two sons escorting her, he was greeted by a tap on his shoulder. He turned around in the vineyard to find his soon-to-be wife smiling from ear-to-ear. Their first look was priceless, and so romantic in the vineyard! I love first looks for this very reason that couples can spend a moment taking it all in by themselves. I only like to think I’m invisible in these moments, and then when they look my way, they give me the signal that they’re ready for some pictures! And we did just this. They walked away from their wedding with plenty of joyful, beautiful and sweet husband and wife photos.
In addition to, Keim’s reaction to seeing Christy arm-in-arm with her two sons was precious.
It’s truly couples like Christy and Keim who make shooting weddings so joyful for me! I can easily say their wedding was the most relaxed wedding I’ve ever shot, and I am so happy that they found each other!
After an, “I do”, a kiss and a picture or two in front of the Organ Mountains, Mr. and Mrs. O’Neil found themselves dancing under the night stars with their closest friends and family. Their purple details decorated the tables, and their smiles never ceased.
Congratulations Keim & Christy! Your day was magical and so much fun to be a part of!
