Blush Chapel at Ana Villa Wedding | Sean & Kelsey | Dallas, TX

June 14, 2016

Romantic. Blush. Glamorous. And oh my goodness, so much LOVE.

The struggle is usually very real when weddings are over, because you think, “okay, well now that I know and love them so much, can I be a part of their lives forever?!”

And this was exactly the case with Kelsey and Sean.

Their day started beautifully with details, mimosas amongst the bridesmaids and laughter amongst the guys. His tux as sharp as a tack, and her bridal gown as beautiful as her lush bouquet. All the details added together couldn’t have made their love any more beautiful than it already was. This showed so evidently when Sean read his letter from Kelsey.

When she saw and talked to him before the wedding when he was blind-folded.

When he saw her walking down the aisle with her grandfather.

And when they whole-heartedly and joyfully danced the night away. To name a few.

Everything about their love is incredible, and it made documenting it throughout the day about as sweet as their candy bar. Yes, I left with a baggy of gummy worms and enjoyed them days after their wedding while I thought of the Martinez’!

In addition to the candy bar, which was a hit, you can’t forget about the following special details: the locket with a picture of Kelsey’s late father and her mother’s wedding ring, which she wore on her bouquet; those heels that she glamorously rocked all night on the dance floor (yes! all night! and she killed it on the dance floor!); the lush blush bouquet and centerpieces and the never-ending bubbles that sent them on their way to a happily ever after. These are a few of the details that just had me so tickled. But to be honest, I was just in awe throughout the day.

I experienced all the feels and was so grateful to be a part of their wedding day.

The rain though. Oh, that rain. What weatherman neglected to predict that?! However, it couldn’t have timed itself more perfectly. It left as quickly as it came. As soon as we finished family pictures after the ceremony, the rain ceased, and we had the most beautiful, even light to capture husband and wife portraits of Sean and Kelsey before the reception.

I was pleased. I was so pleased. Don’t they make the most stunning pair?! And to know them personally, you understand even more so how beautiful of a couple they are.

Lastly, I always love toasts, because as a photographer, I get to know my couples to much more deeply. Sean’s father made a comment that he knew Sean and Kelsey’s love was the same, strong love that’s found on either side of their families: both Sean and Kelsey’s grandparents celebrated 63 years of marriage this year, and they were there to celebrate with the newlyweds. When Mr. Martinez shared this, I saw it. I understood that love to which he compared theirs. Sean and Kelsey sure do have that love.

And I am so excited for them to endure, enjoy and adventure through these next 63+!

Hugs and love to you, Sean and Kelsey! Your day was PERFECT!
