Christ the King Catholic Church & Royal Oaks Country Club Wedding | Regina + Derek

March 27, 2019

Whew. Where to even start?!

I think Regina’s florist summed it up perfectly by saying that these two looked and felt like royalty–

Classic. Elegant. So in love.

There wasn’t a moment that was lacking joy, a smile that was lacking love or a person who was lacking genuine excitement for the future of this sweet couple.

Regina truly met her match.

She is as genuine, sweet and caring as they come–not to mention: she is STUNNING! Derek is a lucky man to have seen all of these qualities and more in her, and…he put a ring on it! 😉 But just as Derek’s Best Man, his father, said during his toast, he couldn’t imagine a better son. All of my interactions with this couple and watching all of their interactions with their loved ones truly represented how caring and lovely people they are.

While the day was filled with meaningful heirlooms, it was equally as filled with people who adored this couple.

As if Regina couldn’t have been more lovely, she wore her Nana’s earrings as her “something borrowed”. But they weren’t just any earrings–they were 100-year old earrings that have been borrowed by all of the ladies, nearly 30, in their family. They carry more stories and love than any other detail I may have photographed. It was such a special moment watching Regina’s Nana hand them over to Regina and help her put them in on her wedding day.

And after Regina put her wedding dress on, she shared multiple “reveals”, starting with her father–each reveal getting more and more loud with excitement and larger in number. Her father’s expression after seeing Regina in her dress says it ALL–a proud daddy of his beautiful daughter on her wedding day. Next, Regina shared a first look with her two brothers, her ENTIRE family (talk about overwhelmingly LOVELY) and finally–Derek.

I think it’s safe to say that Regina was loved by SO many people the way she loves others–BIG!

Derek wrapped her up in his arms, couldn’t take his eyes off her and couldn’t stop smiling when he was with her the entire rest of their wedding day. They celebrated into, not only the night, but the early morning and were sent off with a sparkler exit and in their GTO.

I do not believe their wedding day could have been more lovely, elegant or filled with more joy. I’m so happy for this beautiful couple and am excited for their future!
