Holy Trinity Catholic Church + Room on Main Wedding | Abby + Nick

July 25, 2019

Joyful, fun and romantic–

My fingers keep tapping the keys as I try to summarize what a special day Nick and Abby’s wedding was.

Ah! I am just so ecstatic for them–their love is just the sweetest. And I not only got to witness this ALL day, but I had the privilege of capturing it. Saving it for them, for their families and for generations to come. What a gift! If there’s one thing I hope they remember and can see from their wedding day–it’s that their love was so undeniably REAL.

One of my favorite parts of their wedding day that completely set the tone for the rest of the day and completely filled my motivational cup as a wedding photographer happened right after their first look.

Yes, their first look was precious–like, their smiles said it ALL, they couldn’t hug each other tighter and they took oh-so-pretty pictures (sorry not sorry for the overload of portraits!!), BUT…

My favorite moment actually came right after their first look portraits when I let Nick know that he could step inside for a couple minutes while I took a few bridal portraits of Abby. I always try to be really mindful of the comfort levels in the summer months for my couples and especially my grooms since they’re usually in…dark layers of clothing. 🙂

Nick’s response? I could tell that he so kindly wanted to turn down my request, and then he sweetly asked if he could stay to watch–I’M LITERALLY BEAMING AS I TYPE THIS. It’s truly my hope that ALL grooms would want to do this and just wipe the glistening pearls off their forehead, and Nick did just that. He didn’t want to leave his bride.

And her reaction? AH! You have to see the SWEETEST most gorgeous bridal pictures we captured of her–especially the ones of her smiling at Nick (but also allll of them 😉 ).

Because of their first look, they got to spend the majority of their wedding day together, celebrating through it all, and by celebrating, I mean not leaving ANYTHING behind on that dance floor, because DJ Jason Esquire brought it! And I am truly just so happy that these two can look back and remember SUCH a beautiful, loving and perfect wedding day for themselves.

A day that they will have so many thoughtful stories and details to share on with kids and grandchildren–from the gifted pearl bracelet to the wedding shoes borrowed from her sister, the color palette and the many best friends who stood beside them, WHAT A DAY! Thank you for letting me be a special part of it!
