Oh my WORD—the EMOTION, JOY and LOVE!
As I edited and blogged Mason and Brittany’s wedding, I felt like I relived it and remembered just how incredible of a day it was.
It rained during the beginning part of the day while the ladies were finishing their hair and makeup and cleared up at the exact time we headed out to begin wedding party portraits before the ceremony. The day came together seamlessly and beautifully, with one of my most favorite parts being Mason and Brittany’s “first touch” where they held hands and prayed together without seeing one another.
It was emotional for both parties, as you could clearly see how anxious they were to be able to see one another and become husband and wife.
Mason may have written his own rules at the end (which I LOVED) when he closed his eyes and went in for a big hug before they left to line up for the ceremony.
Seeing their longing and love for one another was so refreshing and beautiful to witness and photograph.
With a heartfelt ceremony led by a loved one from their college home town, they became one, and they full celebrated that fact!
They beamed with joy as they walked down the aisle hand-in-hand and it didn’t leave their faces the rest of the night.
Husband and wife portraits were STUNNING with the sunlight that came to play just during that time. Brittany is just incredibly beautiful, and Mason never gave her any reason to doubt that by the way he looked at her.
I’m telling you—it was such a lovely day of celebrating their love.
The party continued as they entered the reception and never stopped dancing or smiling! I’ve seen many a celebrations, and THIS party was THE celebration!
Mason and Brittany both come from big families, but something fun that they BOTH share is that they’re INCREDIBLE dancers. It was a blast to watch how much fun everyone had dancing together, and clearly I couldn’t stop photographing it all!
I hope that Mr. and Mrs. Doerr remember their wedding day as the joyful, sentimental celebration that it was!
