4th of July Themed Schmid Ranch Wedding in Telluride, Colorado | Coulton & Taylor

July 26, 2015

The Sadler’s Fourth of July-themed wedding was planned and executed perfectly. Timeless red roses, sentimental pieces like Grandmas’s buttons on the bride’s bouquet, Taylor & Coulton’s wedding gifts to each other and all of the handmade wooden signs and décor–every bit of it added to the love put into their wedding day. Red, white and blue shone through as they celebrated their love for one another the day after they celebrated their country. July 5th will forever be an important day for Coulton and Taylor, and I’m sure most anniversaries should forever be celebrated with fireworks to watch. 😉

Taylor and Coulton had been envisioning their wedding in Telluride for nearly two years before they saw their very dreams executed so beautifully. Many vacations and years prior, Taylor decided that one of her biggest dreams was to have her marriage license from the Telluride City Hall. This dream came true the same day her dream husband said the sweetest vows to her and said, “I do”.

The afternoon Colorado rain didn’t stop these vows from being said in the middle of the aspen groves, just as they had planned. Taylor walked over the hill and to the outdoor ceremony with her dad who couldn’t have held her tighter. While umbrellas were on hand, there was no need. The air cool and the views breathtaking, Taylor vowed to always rub Coulton’s hand while they drive in the car, and she did just that to his hand as he vowed to love her forever. He dipped her for the most epic kiss and kissed her one more time to make for two epic first kisses as husband and wife. They gladly walked down the aisle while Coulton high-fived his dad and proceeded to take husband and wife pictures with the most amazing background. Many different incredible backgrounds. And you’ll see, the sun even decided to come out for some amazing, golden backlighting.

With Taylor being a photographer herself, she planned the day so perfectly for us. She planned more than enough time for pictures, which will leave her with so many special memories. She arranged for the loveliest room to get ready, envisioned Telluride wedding party pictures downtown and obviously left the natural Colorado views to bless our entire time shooting at Schmid Ranch. We truly had an incredible time not only shooting such a breathtaking wedding but also witnessing such sweet vows, tears of excitement and smiles of joy throughout their wedding day.

With so many sweet and fun moments to share, I’d be crazy to not acknowledge these as you scroll and smile, enjoying their romantic 4th of July-themed wedding day: the flower girls on the swing, Coulton & Taylor holding hands before the ceremony, Taylor’s red, white and blue toenails and socks, their pictures in the Telluride newspaper, Coulton surprising Taylor with a song, the sentimental toasts and sparkler exit.

Congratulations Coulton and Taylor! What a beautiful memory for you and your families!
