She balanced on one foot as the maid of honor put her boot on, a bridesmaid helped with her earrings and another fastened her heirloom bracelet around her wrist. Brooke’s bridesmaids were in for the win, and they served this bride lovingly on her wedding day.
The day started with mimosas as hair was curled, calligraphy decisions were made and lipstick was applied. For the ladies, that is. The guys enjoyed themselves in the beautiful, New Mexico 75-degree weather, playing a round of golf to start their day of right. I’m confident that both parties started their day out refreshingly and joyful. With Clark’s best friends alongside him and Brooke’s with her, their wedding day was destined to be incredible.
Brooke and I both grew up in a small town in New Mexico, and we both found ourselves moving to Dallas to start our married lives. Having known her growing up, I was tickled to jump alongside her and Clark as they got engaged and started planning their wedding. It was so fun to feel, document and experience the fun, joy and love on their wedding day. I think I could count on one hand how many times my gut tugged at me and tears began to form in my eyes throughout their special day. These are always sweet moments on wedding days for me. I’ve learned to shoot through them, but I can tell you that when a bride says her 109-year old grandmother is getting ready and excited for her wedding day, you just feel downright joyful for her. And when you get to photograph that special grandmother happily bundled in a blanket near the front row, your shutter clicks happily, as well.
And no, this wasn’t the only special moment captured on their wedding day. Friends and family from all over traveled to celebrate with them in Ruidoso. The bracelet Brooke wore on her wrist had been purposefully saved years and years for this wedding day. And the time that she and her family went into planning every little detail displayed in the guest entryway, the reception games, the reception hall and the floral altar was just downright LOVE. I hope you scroll through the beauty of this Flying “J” Ranch Ruidoso Wedding, because it sure it a treat!
Brooke couldn’t have looked more stunning in her lace dress and new cowboy boots, and Clark’s tear-filled eyes showed just that as she walked down the aisle to him. Yes, another moment you can count on my one hand! And Clark couldn’t hold her any sweeter when he prayed with her during their ceremony.
You have two genuine, sweet and beautiful people who just became one, and you have one dreamy wedding day for these two to remember forever. We are SO joyful for you friends!!
