Oh what fun!
Kyle and Chelsey’s wedding was so much fun.
Beautiful. Classic. Joyful.
The day started with a quick cloud burst–or maybe a good little shower. But it didn’t affect any of our pictures or timeline of the day, which was wonderful. It may have given us a little humidity that we weren’t too fond of, but I’ll take that if I get this gorgeous, even lighting from the overcast skies. Just bliss! It made it so easy for us to take picture anywhere we wanted without having to squint into the sun. I gladly accepted it, and my little photography heart thrived!
Not to mention, you have this precious couple in front of your camera who you can tell is just so perfect for one another. That, of course, beats rain or shine, humidity or none, clouds or sun.
They didn’t choose to see each other before the ceremony, but they did hold hands and pray together. And when they saw each other from either end of the aisles in the church, everyone could feel their excitement.
They exchanged their vows in one of the most beautiful Methodist churches I’ve been able to photograph in. That in itself was such a treat, and then we commenced to their reception at TPC Craig Ranch which was just as lovely with its golf course and comfortable reception hall.
Kyle and Chelsey’s wedding seemed like everything they could have dreamed. She got her spiderman, and he got his beautiful blonde bride. And the story behind that is one of the best: Kyle used to insist that everybody call him by his full name of: Kyle Spiderman Sheckells (condensed version) or else he would’t respond to them. When his brother retold this story over toasts, it seemed like everyone in his family chuckled and relived those memories. How funny is that!?
So naturally, he wore his spiderman cuff links and was even more so complete on his wedding day! 😉
With so many fun stories, details and memories made this night, the Sheckell wedding was such a blast to photograph. I’m so excited for these two Texas Tech grads to start their lives together and experience the joys of marriage! Hugs you too!!
