Hey, hey!

It’s about time we open up our home and our playbook to some fresh photographers who are eager to learn! I’ve had dreams of opening up our living room to host other photographers, whether for one-on-one coaching or workshops, since…we bought it this past October! We’ve been working so hard these past several months fixing up our fixer upper, and I think (just think) it’ll be in good shape by the workshop date. We’ll see! 😉

Our past two workshops were nothing but fun and exhilarating for us, and we have loved watching these photographers blossom into their businesses ever since! You can read the recap on their workshop here.

With that being said, our Dallas workshop date is announced!

Saturday, August 27th, 2016.

This is the perfect workshop for photographers who have a passion for capturing memories, creating relationships and strengthening their creative muscle. It’s for those photographers who may be in those first few years of launching their business who are faced with the 934702 questions that always come up. They just do! We know. We’ve been there. And we are still learning, modifying and sharpening.

More importantly, we love encouraging other photographers. Nothing but good has come from encouraging and bringing community together in this photography creative world. Nothing but good.

We’ve made a schedule of our workshop, which includes the following topics:

-Nailing exposure in camera (aperture, SS, ISO, white balance)

-Focus & shooting in RAW

-Adjusting to various lighting situations (harsh, shaded, cloudy, backlit)

-Client experience

-Posing Tips (finding your voice, preparing in advance, candid suggestions, the 4 easies, moving yourself)

-Email presence (templates, personality, promptness)

-Branding (what is it? What is mine? What are clients feeling from what they see? colors, styles, fonts, images)

-Marketing (what is it? How is it different on various platforms? Vendor relationships)

-How to organize your website (simplicity, keeping to your brand)

-Pricing (simplicity, how to raise and where to start)

-Taxes (small business responsibilities, charging tax, paying taxes)

-Lightroom (importing/exporting, creating a preset, synchronizing, correcting white balance, lens correction, developing a workflow)

The schedule will tentatively be as follows:

12:00-12:45 Meet & Greet Lunch & Intros

12:45-2:30 Nailing Exposure in Camera

2:30-3:30 Lighting

3:30-4:30 Client Experience & Posing

4:30-5:30 Branding, Business, Marketing & Miscellaneous Tips & Tricks

DINNER BREAK | Q&A

5:30-7:00 Lightroom Crash Course

7:00-8:00 Styled Session

If this seems like the workshop you need, we’d love to welcome you to one of the ten spots available in our living room! We’re eager to continue open communication through a closed Facebook group where you’ll be able to connect with the photographers in the group and ask any questions you may have after the workshop.

The workshop will last around 8-9 hours with open Question & Answer time after the close of the workshop. We’ll stay to answer as many questions as you may have!

Workshop Price: $650

Early Bird Price: $500

A deposit will reserve your spot on our couch. Early bird rate lasts through July 4th! Can’t wait to meet you and serve you some yummy food!

Don’t forget! If you have friends or family here/just want a weekend getaway, Dallas is a fun place! There are so many delicious places to eat, you can just about shop your heart out and don’t miss a trip to Six Flags or even better–Magnolia Cilos just under two hours away in Waco! Come see us! 🙂

To any who have questions about the workshop, we’d love to answer!

Hugs!
