Bella Woods Blush Wedding | Ben & Brooke

March 14, 2017

I seriously don’t know where to start with Ben & Brooke’s wedding day.

Should I start with the sweet fact that Ben whispered, “you look beautiful”, to Brooke more than once after she walked down the aisle to him at their ceremony? It didn’t matter that there was a room full of guests, he couldn’t take his off of his bride. I adored this! Or maybe I can start with the sweet moment when the bridesmaids were getting ready, and they heard Ben’s voice entering the venue. It was just enough to trigger tears for Brooke and an exciting moment for all the girls to squeal over.

I definitely was all in. I was all in for Ben and Brooke. All in for their fun, their vows, their love. And by that, I mean I felt alongside them the whole day, and I teared up in those memorable times, as well. I sure grew to love this sweet couple.

So whether I started with one sweet moment or the other, it couldn’t suffice for how I hope I portray their wedding day: genuine love, joy and beauty.

Not only were there many precious moments, but there were sentimental pieces of their wedding day that added to the celebration. For example, Brooke used the bonnet that Ben came home from the hospital in as her handkerchief and “something old”. And secondly, her “something borrowed” was an earring attached to her bridal bouquet that her mother wore on her wedding day. It was sweet, because her sister had the matching pair in her bouquet when she married. Can it get any better? Maybe!

We lucked out with the most beautiful cloud coverage, which allowed for some gorgeous portraits! While I became a little nervous that the rain may not wait for us to capture portraits of Ben and Brooke, I was thankful in that we definitely were able to save some joyful, beautiful photographs for the two of them in the woods with soft, natural light. Basically, if you haven’t caught my drift, the Marshall wedding day unfolded so beautifully! The rain held out until just before the wedding party was announced for the reception, and I kid you not: it poured. But at that point, who cared?! We were all inside, and all of the portraits outdoors were completed. It literally gave me the chills how blessed we were with the timing of it all! And my heart smiled because of my sweet time I was able to have with Ben and Brooke as husband and wife in front of my camera. Their love is so genuine, and Brooke makes a stunning bride!

I can’t decide which was my favorite–her wedding dress, her tiered veil, her soft blush bridal bouquet or her glamorous hair piece?! And her boots! Oh, I’ll never decide! 🙂

I think what really wrapped the wedding day up in a sweet sentiment of joy and celebration were the toasts. The Marshall wedding sure may have gotten the blue ribbon for heartfelt, genuine and witty toasts. I’m quite confident that there wasn’t a dry eye in the reception after her sister read a poem she had written them–witty, personal and meaningful. And so were the rest of the toasts given on their wedding night.

Brooke and Ben ended their wedding by two-stepping, twirling and beaming into each other’s eyes with all of their friends and family waiting for them with sparklers under the cool night sky. My goodness, the Marshall wedding will be one I’ll never forget! I had so much fun witnessing their celebration and joining in alongside them!
