Let’s just face it.
Pewter, ivory and green make for some lovely wedding colors! I’ve found myself with all the heart eyes as I photographed, edited and blogged the Drake wedding.
But it wasn’t just easy on my camera eyes, it was such a treat to photograph! The people in front of my camera all day long were filled to the brim with joy, love and excitement. Getting to witness the combination of mothers who were elated, a groom who was enamored and a bride who was radiant was absolutely thrilling.
As I walked into the bridal suite to start the day, I was greeted with a room blaring with joyful music, sunshine shining through the hotel windows and smiles galore. This literally set the mood for Cory and Matt’s wedding day! It put me in even higher spirits, and that is quite a feat itself!
While the entire day was elaborate, there were a few moments that tugged at my heart. A few moments that you shouldn’t miss scrolling over as you relive and browse the Drake wedding! One of those being a First Look set up especially for Corene and her daddy. Oh friends, the reaction she got from her father was priceless. It was almost as climactic as Cory’s bridesmaids seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time. Everyone of their expressions—GENUINELY in awe!
But how could they all not be?! Corene looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress that was oh-so-elaborate with his lace and beaded detail. With her classic hairstyle and cathedral length veil, it was hard to not stun. Add Matt into the mix, and I had myself a beautiful couple to photograph, inside and out!
And the toasts spelled that one out for everyone. It was obvious to me how beautiful Matt and Corene were when I met them, but after I’ve been able to get to know them throughout the past few months, I knew this beauty went much deeper. Their love for the Lord and people is so evident in their actions, the friends around them and the way they make others feel. Their toasts expressed just this about them, and it was a sweet confirmation for me. Like I’ve said before, I just love me some good, sentimental toasts, you guys. 🙂
Corene had a vision for her dream wedding, and that vision came to reality with an amazing group of vendors and all the friends and family to celebrate alongside them. It was an absolute treat to document such beautiful nuptials, and I wish this sweet pair the very best!
