Oh, Katie and Chase!
WHAT a BEAUTIFUL day! Where do I even begin?!
When I first met these two at their engagement session, I knew they were going to be so much fun to get to know and photograph. Their love was so easy, so genuine and so energetic. I think this just happens to be their personalities, so their love seemed to come naturally.
Laughter, joy, excitement.
It marked every moment that I was involved in wedding planning with them.
And their wedding day was nothing short of this. Absolutely nothing! And their friendships showed this–not only by number (as you can see from the wedding party) but by the love they shared. Every time Katie ran up to a friend or loved one, hugged them tight and buried her head into them with so much love, it showed me more about who she is. She and Chase and dear friends, lovers of people, encouragers of people and party people–in the best way!
Celebrating their love was FUN! It was EASY! It was ENERGETIC!
With the energy in abundance, the rest of the day fit in so beautifully. From Katie’s details, floral bouquets and elegant wedding dress to the floral staircase, monogrammed dance floor and donuts as a late night snack, the day was so well planned and thoughtful.
I just loved their color palette. Soft blues against the elegant white Mansion with incredibly romantic bouquets–GORGEOUS. Not to mention, can we talk about Katie’s “first looks”? Yes, plural!
With so many loved ones in her life, it was important that she have a reveal with her dad, brother and (of course) fiance. It was only fitting that we added a reveal with her bridesmaids as the cherry on top! And their reactions? ALL priceless! They love her.
But especially Chase–his reactions, both outside the mansion and during the ceremony, were beautiful. So full of joy and emotions that it fueled my excitement to photograph them! And I think it’s quite obvious from the number of portraits I was able to take of Chase and Katie in various locations around the mansion. It was truly a dream.
Every little bit of it–the weather, the details, the couple, their families, the wedding party, the entire day.
I’m so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Smith that they have such a beautiful day to remember and incredible party with In10city band celebrating THEIR love! A DREAM!
