Fun. Fun. FUN. Jordan and I had so much fun. The Doss wedding day was filled with joy, excitement and genuine bliss. I can’t decide whether it was because of the emotion from the “first look” they had, the special moment where they took communion together or the endless dancing at the reception. All of their wedding day was so much fun and special!
Not many of our couples choose to do “first looks” where the groom sees her bride before she walks down the aisle. I oftentimes joke saying that I attract those brides, because I didn’t do a first look with Jordan. However….this is no joke people. I experienced how precious these first looks can be! Jimmie got to take as long as he wanted to tell her right then and there how beautiful she looked, how her hair, dress and makeup were perfect. Hug her tight and kiss her. And kiss her again. We loved that we could hang behind the scenes and let them be while we documented it for them. Once they exchanged their excitement, we were able to take a few pictures of them, giving them even more portraits than we’re used to. Holly and Jimmie were dream clients, because they stressed over and over how important pictures were to them. I’m convinced they would have taken pictures all day long, and I would’ve done it, because they were SO EASY to work with!
Do you want to know why? Because their unimaginable love for each other was so easy for them to share with the another. Holly’s joy for Jimmie was contagious and vice versa. Their smiles told it all. Truly, don’t miss their bride and groom or their husband and wife portraits at sunset–we got two separate times to photograph them on their wedding day, because they chose to do a “first look” and now they have so many memories!
What comes to mind when I think of the Doss wedding is pure joy and fun. It was evident by the number of friends and family who came to support Jimmie and Holly that they are special and loving people. And we experienced that firsthand by working with them. We loved every second of their beautiful wedding. Holly couldn’t have looked more beautiful in Jimmie’s arms! Jimmie didn’t want to let her go.
And the sweet thing is….he doesn’t have to. 🙂
